As a graduate student, I used to grade papers for several classes. I would have knocked off points for anyone whose diction was this ungainly and pretentious. Lagers are generally more difficult to brew than ales. It's why Germany and the Czech Republic are world-reknowned for their beers. Also, when you look at the processes and ingredients that are required, mass-produced beers with adjuncts are actually more expensive to produce than micro-brews. The difference is that the giant brewers enjoy the benefits of economies of scale and better purchasing power for their ingredients. If a microbrewery attempted to brew a batch of Budweiser, it'd probably cost several times more than what Anheuser-Busch can do. Competent craft-brewers may put out better tasting products than BuschMillerCoors, but BMC's brewing skills and processes are far more impressive. Also, adjuncts like corn and rice tend to be more expensive than barley.

Milk expires and has an expiration date, but the expiration date is really a "sell by" date used by grocery stores for quality and inventory control. Everybody knows that milk a day after it's expiration date is every bit as fresh as it was the day before.

Milk, aside from maybe meat, could be considered the most unstable shelf item found in a grocery store, and you can STILL find it to be palatable after it's expiration date.

So tell me, what does "expire" mean? Does it mean "spoil"? Because I clearly explained that it doesn't.
