the experience I've had with black people and their eating habits extends mostly to being a teacher in a black urban environment. Those children eat like shit, mostly because their families almost never actually cook for them. On any given day, the average student I see will eat breakfast and lunch at school, which is basically just preparing them for prison life. not even kidding, a lot of the ingredients and recipes you find being served in public schools are identical to what you'll see in a prison. They go home and their parents will either take them to mcdonald's on the way home or microwave something for them. The same goes for Latino families. The only families that actually cook for and feed their own kids consistently are asian families, but only if the parents are immigrants. white families are a mix.

I'm half white and half asian, and while my white parent is actually a good cook with diverse taste her family is so stereotypically white it's hilarious.
