Jesus christ. Anyways, as a fellow student, get into big casseroles and stews. There's a Southern dish called a Hoppin' John, which despite the retarded name is amazing. Google some recipes, but it's basically just onions, peppers, jalapenos, rice and bacon plus black-eyed peas thrown into a pot and alternatingly fried/boiled until you get a gigantic rice pilaf that could feed an army. Great shit, and delicious with smoked paprika/cayenne/garlic. Pack it up and it will last you most of the week.

Also, just get really good at breakfasts. Bigass bowl of oatmeal with berries and syrup in the mornings, plus spiced eggs and toast. Helps reduce the hunger pangs through the rest of the day. Good luck OP, hope this helps a bit.

pasta with tomatoe sauce, can be eaten cold, keeps well out of the fridge especially when you use lots of spices - add more plum tomatoes for extra health, basic meal you can eat every day and vary for taste.

steamed rice with kimchi is simply delicious, but kimchi has a high salt content - some people use very little kimchi and adds lots of boiled bok choy. Sides that goes well with this lunchbox is thinly sliced carrots that has been soaked in vinegar, panfried beansprouts, and tea eggs boiled in tea and spices
Preserved meat often taste delicious (bacon, smoked ham) but is bad for you, and beans will give you gas (have some, but don't depend on it for protein). Stock up on eggs, you CAN eat it pass best before date.

Too much salt and sugar is bad for you, learn to season with salt-free and sugar-free spices, use hot sauce, use vinegar.

Try and make your lunch 1. tasty and filing 2. not TOO unhealthy...I find that when your lunch is terrible you tend to end up buying snacks...binge on the stuff that happens to be healthy that you happen to hate at dinner when you are already home and unlikely to go out again!

I love oatmeal, but oatmeal makes you constipated if you don't drink lots of water and/or it makes some people pee a lot, so I only have it on the weekend.

My breakfast and post dinner snack is cornflakes with homomilk, thrawed strawberries and bananas - I drink full fat milk instead of adding sugar.

My go to comfy meal is: spaghetti with tomato sauce from the jar, sauteed spinach, pan cooked Italian sausages (cook 2 in a small skillet with some oil for about 7 minutes, then add 0.5-1 inch of water and simmer for 15-20 minutes until done), and some cheese (mozzarella or parmesan). Chop up the sausages into discs and mix the shit together, easy and delicious.
