OK, I give you that, it's a perspective of efficiency.
Seeing so many eggs I was expecting to see him tossing bunch of eggs into the air and cracking them in the mid air, that would be real blast worth double the price of the sandwich.

You worry to much about what could have been.
You must concern yourself with what is.
Maybe these cooks had a bad day having to deal with someone like you on more than one occasion and they just weren't ready, nor in the mood, to be recorded at that time. It's not that hard to figure out.

No I don't worry any more after watching that, but when you watch for the first time after watching that pizza guy twisting and turning I was thinking that this video will also have some level of performance,
that's why is quite normal to have your imagination run bit ahead and anticipate eggs being thrown into the air since there was so many of them.

Anyhow, thanks for posting that it was fun to watch.

Industrialisation is one of the greatest things mankind has ever done as by definition once you get it going it renders a lot of manufacturing problems moot. Its easy to fall into the paranoia of "much chemicals in mah foodz" but a lot of food can only be sensibly made on such a scale.

A good example is canning - tinned food has been the backbone of military forces for best part of 150 years but it requires a lot of knowledge to get there (metalurgy, padturisation and whatnot). Though canning is amusing as the can opener was invented decades after canning became A Thing™ .

Stuff like you can buy loaf of bread for a tenth of the minimum wage, so even ignoring the profit all the middle men are taking from it, all the wheat, growing, harvesting, processing, baking and transporting that went into it must have taken less that five minutes total of human involvement.

Honestly making the disconnect bwtween "food" and "live animal" makes life much easier and enjoying a lot of dishes easier. While the concept of pets is quite western all told the reality is if you want bacon a pig is gonna die and that is a reality you have to face.

I've skinned and gutted a few pheasants and rabbits in my life (i'm still terrible at it for what its worth) and once I stopped thinking of the animals in disney terms its much easier. I can't bring myself to think of dogs as edible as i'm English asnd eating man's best friend is an anethma to me because of said englishness.

Dog exists to kill things for you or retrive the things you have shot dead, not for eatin' - though I know in parts of asia its a different matter entirely.

Thats the entire point - industrialisation on one hand lets basically anything thats edible be used once you have a factory capable of handling it, its culture disconnect (due to nearly a century of shit being plentiful in 1st world countries) that prevents it.

The main takeway is this: industrialisation lets everything be used in food production because the shit no butcher will touch can be hosed off a carcass and turned into chicken nuggets, something Mr smith the butcher in the hamlet of sisterfuckistan cannot do economically.

As someone who has grown up on a farm, raised animals most of their life, and has eaten many a fresh caught frog the idea of holding and shooting each frog in the back of the head is the most retarded shit I have ever heard.

That frog is dead like 2 seconds into the webm. There is a difference in freshly killed and prepared and prepared and eaten alive which isn't what is going on here at all.

>the idea of holding and shooting each frog in the back of the head
No I shoot them from a distance and then go pick up the dead frog. Getting down the bank far enough to gig them always scares them off so I just shoot and net them. I'm not executing them what the fuck

to expand on this, bacteria live mostly on the outside of food, they aren't fuckin ants. by grinding the meat you basically allow bacteria to spread freely, unlike solid foods. medium rare steaks are invariably safer than jack's attempt at a burger just because you sear the outside, which is where the majority of bacteria are, in case of steaks at least.

I think the fact that it might feel undignified is part of the reason for it. They put a clean mat down obviously, but just the fact that you're 'eating off the table" makes it feel different.

Places like this the waiters usually explain each element to you as they serve it, if there's a particular order they'll tell you.
