Pic related is about as good as it gets for a regular beer here, fairly readily available. Delicious. Better than Punk IPA.

GOAT beer is Pannepot though.

UK here.

In the UK they let you drink beer out of wine glasses?? Who raised you?

Nowt wrong with a wine glass in the absence of some proper beer snifter or tulip glass.

Currently I only have standard tumblers, wine glasses, and glencairns.

Stout: Great Divide Yeti
Standard beer: Newcastle

Really, I'm in the US now and I should have found tons of amazing beers, but...I dunno, I feel like most beers I try is either some bacon/maple/peanutbutter/whatever stout combos, or just bland IPAs

Definitely was a favorite of mine when I was still living in Santa Rosa where the brewery's located. Wish they had it down here in Bakersfield.

So few people seem to realize you can have a strong beer that isn't an IPA, at least in California. Not that I don't mind IPAs, but people just won't shut up about 'em in this state it seems...

I can't pick a favorite but I'm drinking this one tonight. It's a strong gose at 7.5% so kind of like sour saison with salt. It's very good.

Yeah, they do. I've only been able to try Heady, Maine, and Trillium but they do dominate the IPA's. That style is spreading though and there are some other breweries making good NE IPA's. Trillium's are the best I've had but I hear Captain's daughter and Tree House are among the best.

Torpedo is solid. I would like it more if I hadn't already drank probably 10 gallons of the stuff over the years. It has a strong flavor, and I'm tired of it.

Best I've had recently is the barrel aged Old Rasputin.

Pic related was my go-to whenever I wanted a beer, but the local corner store stopped carrying it.

If you read the thread you'd realize that practically everything mentioned is higher than that, and as an added bonus doesn't taste like dirty dish water.

As I said in another thread a few days ago, what I do is typically drink a couple decent beers a night (after which my taste buds are pretty much overpowered anyway) and then switch to nursing mid-tier vodka. Overall still cheaper, and you don't have to choke down half a case of swill every night.

As long as it wasn't a limited release, and you were in line in front of me, and bought the last one, and pulled an asshole move like that in front of my face, sure, do whatever rocks your boat. We all make mistakes along the way, and our taste buds are our only senses that actually become more refined as we age (up to a certain point).
