I don't know what you mean by appreciate at least on some level. The food is like a greatest hits of rural diner fare from just over half a century ago. It's selling nostalgia for something I'm not nostalgic for. I get it, old school dishes like chicken and dumplings are good, and over the top breakfasts are an American tradition. But if I'm going out to eat I want something more novel and delicious than what I would make at home, and Cracker Barrel ain't it. I really think their target audience is people nostalgic for grandma's cooking who grew up with mothers who didn't really cook. That ain't me. I don't ever feel compelled to eat the kind of food they serve there. Shit just isn't that interesting.

No tendies. I prefer the pink-slime kind of chicken nuggets of which I consume approximately none per week too.

Colloquial term for fried chicken tenderloin fritters however they can also be just strips of breast meat or mechanically separated and processed chicken.

I see this meme all the time here and on r9k, but what are tendies exacly?
From what I could tell so fsr is that it's just strips of chicken breasts prepared Vienna style?
I am from rural balkans so excuse my ignorance.

On average probably .04. I'm not a huge tendies fan and only make/order them occasionally.

Dino-Nugs on the other hand is a different story.

I actually had generic store hot food chicken tendies last week. I haven't eaten chicken tendies in years.
They were good, and reminded me of the days when I was extremely picky and wouldn't eat anything.

I'm from a rural area so most food is home grown/slaughtered. Storebought stuff is mostly stuff that can't be made at home or is too much work to make at home.

>> No.8211072

Zero. I haven't eaten a chicken tender since sometime last year when a coworker couldn't finish her DQ takeout and offered me her leftovers.

Yesterday I had 8 tendies.
Today I had 6.
I have 5 left to cook but I'm lacking motivation.

Ah, the banalities of Autumn...
