I guess you could call it that. It's still one of the best places on the internet for recipes and cooking advice.

Asking about memes was a meme but now it is considered trolling.

Agreed. It also has some pretty worthless recipes too though so you have to keep in mind who the author is and their general methodology so it can be a bit involved.

Why are recipe sites always infested with malvertising gimmicks?

I like it. It's fun to read but a pain in the ass to follow kenji's autism ridden recipes

Yes, but Kenji's and Dan Gritzer's recipes are usually pretty good.

Serious Eats is so far up it's own ass, I can't take it seriously.
I mean, Cook's Illustrated/America's Test Kitchen is one thing, because we all know Chris Kimball is straight up autistic/OCD. But Kenji Alt-Lopez is just up his own ass, as are his employees. I can't stand it. Plus, some of the recipes are overly complicated just to be different and "perfect". Serious Eats needlessly complicates simple dishes to the point it's laughable. That said, not everything they do is stupid, but I still can't take them seriously.

They're nowhere near as bad as Tasty.

I bought Kenji's book and it'll definitely make you a better home cook if you don't have much experience.
