Once a mate of mine got stoned, got some puff pastry and wrapped some chocolate bars in it and deep fried that.

As a joke to give to some of our other stoned mates we also did one with cheese and one with toothpaste.

The toothpaste one leaked and we could never get the minty freshness out of the frier, we had to chuck it. Good thing it was a cheapie

Gummy bears. Haribo gummy bears in a slightly heated gummy ball, double battered, then deep fried.

it was pretty good. Not all that off from a funnel cake with like jello inside of it or something. Not something i'd recommend though, the heat makes it weird, and the gummy bears absorb the oil. The work necessary to get it to actually deep fry and not dissolve in a matter of seconds was far greater than the taste.

Some five years ago I was experimenting with deep fried stuff for a while. Tofu, candy bars, whole hamburgers, "deep fried Coke" which is essentially funnel cake batter with soda mixed in.
