No, the pork butt is actually the shoulder. In America we cut the pigs front leg into two cuts, the blade (upper) and the arm (lower).

English butchers cut that same blade into two cuts, the spare rib roast, and the blade. I'd go with a spare rib roast, but to be more true to American BBQ, see if you cant find those two cuts combined, the whole upper shoulder, bone in of course.
