I'm trying to lose weight and build a little more muscle throughout my body. I'm a little unexperienced when it comes to food to eat when working out, and I obviously don't want to ruin my progress with a failed diet.

Any foods I should stay away from? Any specific foods I need? What would be a good breakfast?

And btw I'm not an obese picky eater. I'm just a chubby person. I will also eat anything.

stay away from complicated foods like cooked meats and soil foods

It is "inexperienced" not unexperienced. I'm going to suppose that's why you have this question - because you're stupid.

Google "If It Fits Your Macros"

It's the easiest diet to follow providing you're at least reasonably active.

This place is better for talking about tastes and ways of cooking

eat whatever u want and eat 500 under your TDEE. use an online calculator to find those numbers out. if eating whatever u want consists of junk food at least try and eat some healthy meals. take a multivitamin whenever you diet and maybe even supplemental b12 as well. work out 3x a week to begin with with 30 minutes of cardio and the rest of your time with a simple lifting plan for beginners, I recommend reg parks. drink plenty of water as being dehydrated can cause bloat and "false fat" which my discourage u and make u quit or go "hurrr why am I not losing weight" weight varies between a 3 pound range I'd say so you can weight yourself daily but once a week in the morning would be the most accurate way to do it. the most important thing in losing weight is COUNTING CALORIES. do not forget it and don't fall for any diet that says u can eat however much u want as long as u exclude X.

If you're serious about getting in shape, go to /fit/ and start there. If you're not trying to count calories and really just want to alter your lifestyle a bit to feel petter physically, then the main thing you want to do is cut out processed foods and simple sugars. And by simple sugars I mean stuff like white bread, pastries, candy, sugary drinks, etc.

Try to eat whole, recognizable foods, and aim to fill up on protein or "good" fats (omega-3/6) before going to carbs and saturated fats, both of which are okay in moderation.

>nuts, seeds
>fruit, veggies
>meat, fish
>dairy (preferably cultured like yogurt or cheese)
>whole grains, legumes

Go for high protein, low GI food.
Lay off the soda, fast food and prepackaged crap.
Eggs, steak, avocado, chicken breast, oats and brown rice are your friends. Eat little but often to fire up your metabolism and lift heavy to fire up your testosterone levels (this aids fat loss).
Read the /fit/ sticky, it's probably the only thing worth reading on all of 4Chinks.
Good Luck.

You can't lose weight and build muscle unless you're obese, you can maintain and gain muscle though. go look at TDEE calculators to find out what you should be eating, i suggest scooby's.

inexperienced is the direct negation of experience and therefore applies to the main definition of expericnce as a noun.
inexperienced is used with some of the alternate definitions of experience like to observe (verb). So that unexperienced typically is reserved for not having experienced something versus having little practical knowledge about something.

unexperienced is also a relatively new word so like, go fuck yourself

You can burn fat and build muscle simultaneously if you are a beginner lifter.
