Is it true that Americans buy cheese already grated instead of grating off the block?

It's common in Wisconsin and other flyover states because the cheese doesn't really have any flavors to begin with. The definition of "good cheese" is "a lot" or, as they spell it, "alot".

Here we have a typical grocery store showing where the good, coastal cheese is located. The flyover cheese is in a different section of the store, near the "I can't believe it's not butter" and "cooking spray"

And here we have the commodity garbage cheese ghetto, aka WIDF - the cheese section. If you don't think pre-sliced bland pasteurized crap is the best thing in the universe, you hate America and have literally never even set foot here.

Just kidding. It just means you have a functioning palate.

I grew up in a suburb between Dayton and Cincinnati. Used to go to skyline for lunch in high school and then get the most rancid farts during English class. This girl in my class had a crush on me, but after sitting next to me for a few days never spoke to me again. I suspect it was due to the skyline farts.

I do this with cheeses which take a while to grate and you get the same product, e.g. parmigianno. Grated cheddar and mozzarella are usually awful quality and come covered in some awful flowery anti-caking agent which fucks up the taste and texture, so they're best avoided. They're comparatively easy to grate, anyway.

>saving you from fucking ugly flyover girls

Looks like we finally found one thing Skyline "chili" is good for
