Chow rating by branch:

1. Air Force
- The Air Force is soft as fuck, and most of them are little more than civilians in uniform. Hence their chow is more similar to a civilian cafeteria than a military dining facility.

2. Navy
- Decent chow aboard ship, and the enlisted chow was better than the chief's. The N.A.S. chow facilities I ate at were pretty close to the Air Force, facilities. Not bad for a bunch of squids.

3. Army
- Army dining facilities range from downright awful, to being almost Air Force tier. The more civilians involved, the better, while the more Army cooks involved, the shittier the facility usually is because most of the cooks I've seen just don't give a fuck, and it's not like they're going to get fired.

4. Marines
- I never ate a Marine D-fac, however, since they get their budget from the Navy, which usually fucks them pretty hard, I'd imagine their chow reflects their bastard child nature.

The NCO's that were in charge of the chow preparation aboard the ships I've been on did a pretty good job of making sure their crew cooked their chow to a decent standard. I can't say that about most of the Army facilities I've been in that used primarily Army cooks and not civilians.
