Does anyone know where I can get the original Indonesian recipe Red Bull (Kratingdaeng) in America? Any online shops that can import it for a reasonable price?
I've never had it, but it sounds interesting considering the fact it's non-carbonated.

Also, post general food that is hard to come by , discontinued, or simply not available everywhere.

This was the best thing on Taco Bell's menu, and they had to discontinue it. :(

>original red bull

It's called M-150 and you need to go to places that specifically import Asian foodstuff to find it.

You what? It's Kratingdaeng.

M-150 was the original, and is still more popular in SE Asia.

Some now billionaire decided to sell Red Bull in America so it's what everyone in the West is now familiar with. You can find the cans of the original Red Bull on the shelf next to bottles of M-150 practically everywhere in America where either on is sold.

It's still not the original Red Bull, you nong.

This isn't exactly a regional drink so much as a region style of enjoying that drink.

I grew up in Georgia(the American state), so I drank a lot of Coca Cola as a kid. To this day Pepsi just strikes me as second-best, but I digress. Anyway, a few times when I was young my brothers and I would buy some Coke in glass bottles as well as little packages of roasted and salted peanuts. Then we'd pop open our Cokes and add little handfuls of peanuts to the soda before drinking it like pic related. You slurp up a couple of nuts per sip and crunch on them. The flavor combination is actually really good, adding a little salt and savory to that sweetness. Really refreshing.

I told my friends who aren't from the South about it recently and they all thought I was a weirdo.

I had finally forced myself to forget about these and just accept sour beer and kombucha is the closest I'll ever have.

You just made me remember my sadness : (, and if they ever bring them back they wont' be nearly as sour.

I hope you're referring to south america since I live in the US and I've never seen m-150 before.

Those were fucking good.

And I pity everyone who never had a chance to experiment with adding BBQ sauce to various menu items. It was surprisingly delicious in conjunction with nacho cheese.

If you don't live somewhere with a SE Asian population, and/or only shop at Walmart, you're not going to find them.

I've mostly seen them at Asian grocery stores, but my new local grocery store where I've never seen an Asian person carries them.

I've found them in multiple states, and would say they're more common than Kinder eggs, which people constantly say are easy to find in America.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to sell them in the US because they contain all sorts of random shit not approved by the FDA.

Do you have any more info on this? Links?

It really isn't THAT big of a deal to me, so long as there isn't any dangerous substances in the drink.
Is there any health hazards to it?
