Dude, I realize this is 2 days old and everyone can eat however they want, but quick tips. Those spaghetti look overcooked, 7 minutes after water is boiling usually is good. No need for that many spices in a tomatoe sauce, just go with a few leaves of basil and some olive oil. Same with the onion, no need wine and garlic. Regarding spicy, I don't think it works with a mushrooms in general, but if so don't use chily sauce. It ruins the tomatoes. Just dip an essicated chily pepper in olive oil for a few days and you got yourself a spicy oil for all occasions, to be put on pasta after cooking, just a bit. Or use grounded chily pepper, it's the same.

>spaghetti look overcooked
You've got some serious explaining to do. How can it look over cooked? If anything it looked a bit dry to me like they drained it and didn't put the lid back on. 7 minutes is usually al dente for me, which is fine unless you like it fully cooked as I do.

>> No.7541323

>>7540242
Yeah, "al dente" is how you're supposed to eat spaghetti. More than it it's overcooked. It's a photo so I maybe wrong, obv, but you usually can see it by the pasta looking puffy and kind of pale. Spaghetti also usually have the telltale sign of looking kind of "gummy" when together.

>like they drained it and didn't put the lid back on

I seriously can't understand what you mean. I probably misunderstood but from what I understand you let the water evaporate and then put the lid back on? That can't be it.

Just in case: you fill the pot with the water you need, usually quite a bit, not like rice, and let it boil with the lid on to speed up the process. Get some salt with your hand and put in the water when boiling, then drop the pasta. Let it cook without lid and mixing so it doesn't attach to the pot until it's "al dente". Drop water and pasta in the strainer so the latter gets caught in it and you drop all the water in the drain. Then put back pasta in the pot, add sauce and make portions to serve.

I know I probably misundertstood, but maybe you simply read shit instructions. I've seen people making it in the weirdest of methods.

>supposed to eat spaghetti.
And I suppose there's a way you're "supposed" to eat a steak too? Al Dente is just one way of cooking spaghetti like 'rare' 'med-rare' or 'well done' for that matter.

>I seriously can't understand what you mean
I mean that they drained hot noodles of all water, then left the hot noodles and hot pan on the stove and the noodles started to dry out again.
