But at least you can easily identify the best fast food sandwich.

>> No.7510558

You know now that I think of it, I've never really learned anything about cooking from ck.

Probably the single most useless, un-educational food board in the world.

>> No.7510571

>implying the board is for learning
>not being able to google this easy shit on your own
no wonder you can't cook faggot

being good at something usually means you have made plenty of mistakes along the way.

If you want to get good at cooking, you will need to have some basic equipment and then just jump in and learn some basic techniques and start with some basic easy recipes.

you can get tons of online recipes for any dish you want to cook. I would recommend epicurious.com for recipes to try. Anything 3 1/2 stars or more will most likely be amazing.

Stay away from online recipes that don't have many reviews while you are learning. You want to try recipes that are proven to taste good, not someones food blog where they are making up stuff that only taste good to them.

I would recommend getting a subscription to cooks illustrated and learning the techniques they teach.

I eat rice every week at least a few days a week. I put the rice in the sauce pan and measure 2-1 for water proportions. Then I cook it over the burner.

literally nothing wrong with a rice cooker

>> No.7513857

Rice is hard to learn, but easy to master.

small sauce pan. 1/2 cup rice 1 cup water + 1/4 cup water. (+ another 1/4 if brown rice)

1/4 tea spoon olive oil in bottom of pan.

medium heat, add rice

toast rice over heat until smells "nutty"

add water and bring to a boil.

Reduce head to low and cover.

Simmer until water is not visible on the side of the pan when pan is tilted to 45 degree angle.

Fluff with fork and serve

Chili as a meal has beans. Ignore Texans.

Chili as a topping doesn't.
