I'm not a trucker yet but I've been going to the local stop for years because the food is really good, huge portions and inexpensive. They also sell the coolest shit in the store. We have a chain in the Midwest called Iron Skillet that's attached to truck stops. Not sure if they have them anywhere else.

Its pretty decent food. I always get tricked into the buffet and end up paying for it when my colon explodes ten miles down the road after I leave. The great thing about this place is that if you order soda, they give you a small pitcher of it along with a glass of ice.

Trucker here. I gained almost 100 pounds when I was otr. I ate mostly flying j pizza and subway. Thankfully now I drive local and I get home every night. I've only lost about 50 of those pounds over the last year despite dieting and exercising daily.

My advice for op is to get a fridge for your truck and stop at Wal-Mart and get some salads and other healthy stuff. Every Wal-Mart has a truck entrance with parking in the back and there's one every other exit.

Don't be like me op.

The frozen food logistics for where I worked were always pretty good. Wish I could say say the same about the general store trucks, that shit was barbaric. Stuff wasn't loaded on pallets, it was all just literally boxes stacked top to bottom with no regard to what type of goods they were. God, they would waste hours every single night trucks came in just unloading and sorting stuff. At least 75% of the stores damages had to have come from that.
