I'm not a huge fan of thousand island, especially with eggs, but that looks really good.

Is that Milton's bread?

I make a sandwich almost every day, and always found it odd how infrequently decent looking homemade sandwiches are posted.

Maybe it's because they're considered boring, or mundane, but I love sandwiches, and like looking at what other anons have made.

Pic related is an egg sandwich I made recently.

I never really liked eggs growing up.

The only time I'd eat eggs is when I went out to a restaurant, and I'd only dip my toast or bacon in the yolk, I wouldn't eat the white. That's the only type of egg I ate until I learned how to cook.

I love eggs now, especially egg sandwiches. My grandma would always blab about how great egg and luncheon meat was together, and I never really tried it until recently, it's fucking amazing.

people probably think their sandwhiches arent worth posting or sandwhiches are too simple to discuss.

but simpler foods are discussed pretty frequently so i don't know.

Here's another one.

Hummus, spinach, ham, tomato, sprouts, avocado.

The bread is the Milton's I mentioned earlier (they have a similar crust).

Yeah, there's a pretty wide gap between people posting blurry pictures of bowls of slop and people cooking/trying out more elaborate recipes (the end result still frequently looking like a bowl of slop).

In between it's mostly just pictures of fast food or take out, which is almost always uninteresting (how many chain burgers or Jimmy John's sandwiches do you really need to see?).

Plain white bread, eggs cooked overeasy so they're extra goopy, lots of hot chili sauce and chutney on one side of the sandwich, smoosh and eat before the bread dissolves.

They have virtually no nutritional value, but add a unique texture and have one of the stronger flavors out of all the ingredients.

I put lots of garlic in my hummus, and it goes really well with the sprouts.

Spiciness is fine is just that a egg sandwich gets really dry and I'll get that condition where I'll get nauseated eating egg-grease, meat-grease and dry bread so something to brighten it up or make the flavors gel together would be good.

Holendase sauce would be the best, because it's nice and buttery, and I was thinking memevocado too, mayo seems kinda gross, even with garlic it could be too overpowering.

idk
