The only reason to eat steak is for protein, and even then chicken or salmon is better for that purpose.

Bloody (i.e. medium/rare) meat has no flavor. I challenge anybody to describe the taste of the interior of what you would call a good medium/rare steak - there isn't one, and the mouthfeel is cold and slimy. The only good tasting part is the seared coating, which is basically just salt and charcoal, and what a well-done steak does is make as much of the meat as possible salty charcoal flavor.
