Has anyone read Gabrielle Hamilton's "Blood, Bones and Butter," where she outlines her ideas for a more Feminist cuisine? Is this the start of a new wave of female-driven and female-safe food trends?

it's boring of you to be fairly honest my brethren. No one is saying ban hot spices. But there's many many more flavors out there, many new herbs, many old herbs. Any of us have only tasted a few of these. Not sure if this is what OP meant but its seems reasonable to me.

I see it in fancy cocktails, chicken wings, chili, dry rubs, sausage grinds. I'm in a city with 3 million+ people. Again, not saying its wrong, but its interesting to think how you could make food exciting without a "fedora" stroke like make something obnoxiously hot and spicy.
