I just cooked my rice in pickle juice. I am currently waiting for it to cool down before I eat it. It smells like fresh baked bread for some reason.

What the fuck?

Take pics. At least you're cooking something...

>> No.7155987

I'm eating it right now. It's pretty good. It made the rice a greenish yellow color. I'm about to try putting a little mustard on it.

>> No.7155995

The mustard goes good with it. All it needs now is pieces of a wiener.

>> No.7156017

I just finished eating all of it. I will not be cooking rice like that again. It was too sweet and viniggery.

Did you cook your rice in sweet pickle juice?

Yes. Would sour work better?

It would be better. The real question is this: Why don't you cook normal rice like a normal person? Just rice and water, maybe try a Knorr Memepot.

I do but it's not worth blogworthy. How do you feel about butter and rice? I am going to put a whole stick of butter on 1/2 cup dry next time, as soon as it's done cooking, with the goal of producing warm butter slime, not liquid. Does that sound blogworthy?

Try seasoning it with the pickle juice after cooking, like sushi rice.

I am going to try to cook my breakfast rice in an empty pickle jar. I will take a picture of it.

I usually cook this amount of rice for twenty minutes on low heat. Low heat wasn't enough for the pickle jar. Twenty minutes of medium heat worked good. It was half a cup dry.

This picture is an example of how I used to cook my rice. The pickle jar method is superior because there is almost zero hard rice on the bottom. I was crunching on that burnt bottom of the pot rice before.

Remember to drill a vent hole in the lid before you try this at home folks.
