Not OP, I love very strong cheddar but the bland mozzarella on cheap pizza does me just fine at the time. Just like you said, I savour the texture and get my flavour from the toppings. I wouldn't eat a cheese pizza though for that very reason.

The aroma makes the whole pizza smell good and gives it a very slight pepper taste. I bite off the very tip and sprinkle the pizza with the pepper juice inside then I just eat it. It isn't a big deal but I'm appreciative when I get a pepper, based papa Johns is known for giving you a pepper and garlic sauce.
