As a kid I loved the stuff. But tasting really good salami kinda wrecked me on it. Now it just tastes like cheap, greasy garbage to me.

That happened with lots of things for me. As a kid I loved everything. When I got older and tried some really good food many things I used to like didn't taste nearly as good as I remembered them. Some of them were downright disgusting.

I guess your tastes do change with age and experience.

yeah, your tastebuds stop regenerating as you age so your tastes will actually change as you grow older

pepperoni is alright, but i think chorizo is much better for most applications

Chorizo and fancy italian salami have edged out regular domino's pepperoni in my mind.

It's great, but on balance I prefer salami because of the greater fat content and stronger garlic flavour.

One of my childhood friends was super autistic about pizza, but nothing else. He would order a pepperoni pizza and peel each pepperoni off individually, then roll it in his palms. Once he had a roll of five he would slowly nibble the roll down like a hamster.

Next, he would pull off all of the cheese in a single sheet and do the same thing.

Then he would scrape the remaining sauce off the crust, before rolling that up and eating it the same way. It should be noted, he would only eat crust previously covered with the sauce, the rind (aka the normal fucking thing you think is crust) was discarded because it was too hard and dry.

I love the stuff. Pepperoni's signature spice is paprika. Pepperoni is American. The closest thing in Italian is salamino piccante.

All pepperoni used to cup when cooked; it would turn into a delicious little meat bowl of grease on your pizza. They have actually engineered that out of pepperoni so it stays flat. About the only ones that do it anymore are gourmet ones that are handmade.

Pepperoni is great but any pizza patrician knows that slices are all about the plain cheese.
