In your opinion, what is the goat way to make a PB&J?

Imo you take fresh rye bread, on one slice spread a moderately thick layer of natural peanut butter, and on the other you spread a slightly larger amount of strawberry jam. Then toast in in a panini press for a little bit to get it gold and slightly crispy. Voila the perfect pb&j.

You take out the jelly and substitute it with marshmallow fluff

1.] Toast bread slices until lightly toasted (1-2 minutes).

2.] Spread PB on one side and J on top of the PB and stack the other side on. Eat.

3.] Eat another PB&J sandwich because you have no self restraint whatsoever

Drink with a nice cold tall glass of whole milk. Whole wheat bread is healthy but buttered bread will taste better so your call. Don't buy "natural" PB, it tastes weird. Just use regular starwberry/grape jelly, the "natural" also tastes weird.

I used to work in a retirement home kitchen and the entire time I worked there we had a big jar of this stuff in the back but I never once saw it get used. What do you do with it?

>> No.7025326

just the way i make it, not necessarily the "best";
>peanut butter both slices of bread
>drop some jam in the center of one slice
>press edges of breads together to "seal" in the jam
no drips, no jelly bleeding through your bread. i find this method creates an even distribution of peanut butter and jelly in each bite (you have to work the sandwich a bit with your fingers to smush the jam around and spread it out once you "seal" the bread slices together)

as for me, i like super chunk peanut butter, any type of jam or preserve, and usually an whole grain oat bread. served with a glass of chocolate cashew milk.

MY favorite way is pb&j+bannana slices. Dip the whole sandwich in egg wash and roll in panko, then fry it
