If you’re looking for the scariest Halloween trick of all, you’ll have to head up to Canada. Earlier this month, Ontario burger chain The Works unveiled a product they’re calling the Reese PBC—a burger both topped and stuffed with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

The crazy mix of sweet and savory, part of their “Get Stuff’d” campaign, is described as being “stuff’d with Reese Peanut Butter Cups candy right inside our juicy beef patty and topped with crispy onion strings, two strips of smoked bacon and even more Reese Peanut Butter Cups candy!” You get all of that goodness (?) for just $15.98 Canadian dollars (!).

Burgers for dessert. How do you Americans feel with having your hat be even more American than you?

Yeah, I dunno, I've heard peanut butter goes alright with burgers but chocolate just sounds too fucked up.

Peanut butter is an interesting yet good thing on burgers. This is probably too sweet though.

There is a gourmet burger place near my house that serves a lot of different crazy burger iterations. They have burgers with mac and cheese on them, a burger with cheetos on it, and yes, one of them is a burger with peanut butter on it. I've tried it and it was interesting. I could distinctly taste the peanut butter flavor, and while it didn't really clash with the meat, I didn't think it added anything either. I think peanut butter is really just one of those things like mayonnaise. You could probably add it to just about anything within reason and get away with it. While the taste wasn’t overly weird or offensive, the texture was just sort of annoying though. The stickiness of the peanut butter kept making globs of it stick to the top of my mouth, and made the burger more difficult to eat. Stickiness is not a texture I think works with a hamburger. Overall it felt like a meme addition to the burger that wasn’t really doing anything for it. I’m really not sure how chocolate would mixed in there with it as well, but I don’t imagine its presence is going to be doing the burger any favors. Overall I imagine that burger would be pretty gross. It’s the kind of thing you eat on a lark. You’d be doing it just to do it.
