What do westerners eat for breakfast? From what I observe is it seriously just permutation of bacon, eggs, ham and bread? Do people seriously eat those for YEARS without feeling disgusted?

My favorite breakfast is scrambled eggs stirred into a bowl of grits with a pinch of garlic salt and plenty of butter.

Best full breakfast is grits, eggs, bacon or sausage and buttered toast.
Grits is mostly a southern thing though.

I also enjoy just some fresh fruit for breakfast and maybe some yogurt, but yogurt can be a bit much on a morning digestive system.
Cereal and milk is shit-tier breakfast unless it's Reese's puffs.

Common breakfasts, but by no means an exhaustive list:
>Nothing
>Coffee or tea
>Cold cereals with milk or a milk substitute
>Hot cereals (like oatmeal) with fruits or other things mixed in, or spiced and sweetened
>Yogurt (sweetened or not) with granola
>Just sweetened yogurt
>Yogurt (sweetened or not) with fruit
>A fruit smoothie
>Pancakes, often with milk and syrup
>Waffles, often with milk and syrup
>French toast, often with milk and syrup
>Scones/biscuits/toast/English muffins, often toasted with butter and jam, buttered and with eggs on it, or just buttered
>Danishes and other pastries
>Granola bar/cereal bar for convenience
>Certain variations of fruit based cakes (apple and banana most commonly)
>Muffins (any kind) but never cupcakes
>Toaster pastries
>Frittatas, quiche, or omelettes with a variety of things mixed in, commonly served alongside bacon (the type being regionally dependent) or sausage/ sausage patties, these usually have some kind of vegetables or mushrooms mixed in
>Scrambled eggs, sunny side up, over easy, or poached eggs. Poached eggs are traditionally made into eggs Benedict, the rest are generally served with some of the following: toast, sausage, bacon, fried/roasted potatoes, corned beef hash, home fries
In addition to the other drinks I mentioned, orange juice, vegetable/tomato juice, and hot chocolate are also common breakfast drinks but they wouldn't usually be stand alone drinks like coffee or tea, and could go with most of the savory breakfasts on the list.

A lot of these breakfasts are more elaborate ones you'd either only find if you went out to eat or only have on the weekend when you have time to cook something more elaborate and then save the excess for the next week. Our day to day breakfasts are the simpler ones that take only a few minutes to prepare, but more and more people skip breakfast altogether nowadays aside from drinking something caffeinated to wake them up.

I eat three pieces of fruit with or without a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, strong tea, toast with grated tomato tomato and olive oil, and an occasional sugary snack, like a croissant, a couple cookies, something with chocolate or a donut for example. The only times I've eaten meat, eggs and stuff like that for breakfast is abroad in hotel buffets.

or

Camba-bro from Santa Cruz (NOT BOLIVIAN) de la Sierra here.

The typical breakfast here is usually based on manioc or as we call it, yuca. Manioc is turned into flower and then made into several forms of pastries, some with cheese and dry jerky meat.

Other typical breakfast are slow cooked mashed bananas with jerky and eggs (sunny side up)

For those with a more hearty apetite it's not uncommon to see someone having a place of rice, egg, steamed or fried manioc and a nice well done steak.

fast-food versions of breakfast are empanadas, usually the simple cheese friend empanada or the famous Saltena.

Egg sandwhiches are also common.

Take that with a strong black coffee, or a cold lemonade to cool off in the hot mornings, because milk is for fags.

Here, OP. I threw together a quick infographic for you.
That's just what I managed in like 5 minutes.

Eggs, bacon, ham sounds more like British breakfast, which is commonly eaten warm.

Germans typically do not eat warm breakfast, but enjoy lots of bread. We've got dozens of kinds of bread and baked goods even in tiny towns, usually.
We also have lots of cold cuts, breakfast sausages and cheeses. If we do not use those, we eat sweet stuffs like marmelade, chocolates or honey.
Cereals and müsli are big in Germany as well. We often mix and match that with fruits.

Then there are certain kinds of warm breakfast foods, like Weißwürste (white sausages), which are traditionally eaten early in the day...until noonish.

Most Americans honestly don't eat breakfast. Those that do are usually restricted by whether they go to work in the morning or not. Toast with butter or cereal are easy and fast, with bacon and eggs being for those who want a truly satisfying morning or have a bit of extra time on their hands.

You forgot potatoes and sausage to complete the classic "American hot breakfast" set.

And that is mainly an American thing, not "westerners" in general. Brits eat tomatoes and beans and some kind of congealed blood crap. I have no idea what Yurops eat, but I think there's fruit involved?

Not going to read through 120 responses, so this has probably already been covered, but the classic eggs/pig/bread permutation for breakfast isn't really that common among people I know, living in an American flyover state. If people go out to a restaurant, it's a reasonably common choice (assuming you consider pancakes/french toast to be variations of eggs/bread), but breakfast is the least common meal to eat at restaurants. Many people in a hurry just drink coffee and grab a bagel/pastry, or banana, or eat a bowl of cold cereal, or just skip food altogether. Some eat leftovers from other meals...many people like cold pizza for breakfast, for example, and a few degenerates even reheat pizza for breakfast.

I mostly vary between oatmeal (with chopped fruit and nuts), a piece of good bread, or leftovers. I've eaten oatmeal for years, and don't feel disgusted: it's healthy, tasty, and I feel it's good for my digestion. I don't get excited about it, but it's still pleasurable. Plenty of routine things are like that.
