I never got the idea behind the pans with the wibbly wobbly grill kind of things on the bottom.

One of the old clean-out-the-fridge meals (and lunch tomorrow at work). Meat is kielbasa, chicken, sausage and steak. They got sauteed with broccoli rabe, onion, scallions, yellow squash and cubanelle pepper. There's rice and quinoa on the top right, refried and kidney beans middle right and ginger + garlic mashed potatoes on the bottom.

Homemade salmon "rillette", toast from stale shitty faux-french bread (they're like sandwich-size baguettes) that someone else bought and homebrew saison (fermented and aged for like an year).

Didn't have time to take a better photo, too hungry and watched a movie.

Anyway, marbled short loin, croquet potatoes prepared in the oven and then fried in a fryingpan with butter and garlic, broccoli boiled softer than your mothers tits and then mixed with blue cheese + creme sauce and a tomato/lettuce/cucumber sallad.

I almost nailed everything..
I made the mistake of trying to reduce the blue cheese+creme mix together with the finished broccoli. Ended up with a watery boring mess.

But boy did it taste fucking good. This will be the thing I make when I have a fancy guest dinner happening.

Gonna make a couple of pizzas with Trader Joe's dough. Reduce a couple of cans of diced tomatoes for sauce... probably run those through the blender at first, add some Ital seasoning and a little salt and garlic powder.

I unthawed a bowl of mystery food from the freezer.

Turns out it was carrots, onions, and parsnips in broth leftover from a soup I made months ago when I had a roast. I had eaten all of the roast after the initial cooking but the veg and broth were good.

I cooked some chopped onions in some butter, added water and beef bullion, tossed in a bunch of cajun seasonings, some basil, chopped carrots, lima beans, peas, green beans, celery, potatoes, a shitload of sweet corn, and a few cans of chopped clams.

I thought this was some kind of clam chowder, but I've been told it isn't.

If this is clam chowder, what kind is it? There are no tomatoes or milk.
