How do you use Worcestershire sauce, /ck/?

I've heard it goes well with tonkatsu. But what's the traditional option?

Is it a part of high cuisine or more of an English diner thing?

This
I always add it to my country gravy for the same reason.
It adds complexity to any kind of really savory beef dish or sauce used for beef within reason.
Poor mans demi-glase.

I mix a little bit of oats/breadcrumbs into my hamburgers so it retains the sauce when I cook it.

Also, mixed in the god of all super bowl party foods

Add to baked beans. Also add to bacon whilst frying. Sometimes add it to stews/casseroles.

I put it on hamburgers.

Salt, pepper, and then add the worcestershire on top 3-4 minutes before the burger is done (worcestershire burns easily).

Fun Fact: Worcestershire Sauce in Europe tastes different to that sold in the USA. Same goes for HP sauce.

Cheese on onion on toast with a bit of Lea and Perrins is such a good fucking snack

>> No.6936558

I like to sautee diced onions in Worcestershire sauce while I pan fry thinly sliced braunschweiger until browned, then throw a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce onto each slice of braunschweiger while it's still in the pan, then serve with the onions in a sandwich.

It lends an indianish flavor for people who can't really handle full on Indian flavor in foods. The company tries to peddle you some bullshit about it being a Greco Roman recipe but in reality the flavor maintly derives from tamarind which is probably the most common ingredient in chutneys.

Lanchashire man ere' through n through.

Best use for Lea & Perrins? Stick in on yer cheese on toast.

Also goes great in stews, and generally always a valid option when browning off meat.

It goes really well on chicken in general and a dash or two works wonders for a bloody mary.
