TL;DR: Please point me to a dish that will rekindle my appetite for meat.

I'm in a relationship with someone who is mostly vegan, but completely vegetarian. So when we cook together, I usually adapt.
But, and here's the thing: When I'm cooking for myself, meat mostly lost its luster. I still enjoy it from time to time, but it usually strikes me as bland and underwhelming.
So I come to you, /ck/. Please give me a recipe or tell me about a dish I can make, that will remind me of all the deliciousness, richness, tenderness, juiciness, crispyness, smokiness and awesomeness which eating animals is all about.
Will post results.

I'm already doing that, for the most part. But for reasons I do not wish to discuss here, vegetarism is not an option for me.

OP google Butterbell anon.
You have to get your house in order, you are on a bad path.

Not finding anything. What are you getting at?

Get a nice cut of beef season it with pepper and cook until it's a colour you enjoy. If you don't enjoy it then maybe you would be better off as a vegetarian.

I'm sorry OP but it has been proven time and time again that religious Gay Reeducation Camps don't work

Yeah I know. I eat tons of legumes already. My problem is not my health, it is my lack of recipes for good meat dishes.

I just realized I haven't cooked meat at home in probably 6 months. I eat it when I go out though, but cooking it is expensive and annoying

Chicken legs cooked in a clay pot, the way my dad makes it. I don't have a clay pot, sadly.

discovered this one like 2 days ago while cooking for a friend on the cheap
>thin cut pork chops (like a cm thick)
>flour
>egg
>panko
>fryer

shit simple right? you prolly already know what I'm going for. my roommate doesn't like pork.

put some slices in the pork, beat it a little, flour it, egg it, panko cover it.
put it in the fryer
>let it fry until a beautiful color and the inside is JUSt on the brink of losing its pinkness.
I cant emphasize hwo important it is that you cook it enough, but not so much that its an entirely white piece of dry chewy nastiness.

then just slice that shit up and put some bbq sauce on it (not a lot you fuckin fedora tnedie muncher)

shits delicious to even the most hardcore vegetarian
idk what it is, but wow, if I could eat it for the rest of my life, I prolly would.

Mince up and fry a few bacon strips and put that and the fat in baked beans. The flavor and texture cannot be matched by vegetarian-ok products alone. I've stopped eating meant as a part of my main dishes, but I would lose it if I stopped cooking with it entirely

Don't you know that everyone here need more protein than an Olympic athlete who needs something like 80gms at best. Beyond that there's no benefit beyond thinking that you're feeding yourself well.

In reality with a sedentary life you need 30-40 g protein and a the rest of your calories from unrefined carbs and fat. Fiber is pretty important too. Grains are the perfect food. The reason people lose muscle mass when turning vegan is because they don't get the calories they need without meat.
