Established dairy companies lobby for the ban to remain in place. It keeps competition down since they already only make pasteurized cheese.

The raw milk ban is retarded but don't be a faggot about it.

Because it's far easier to control which chemicals are used in processing than it is in raw milk. Who knows what diseases the animals were suffering from or whether the product was contaminated or not.
I support cheese made with raw milk though, seems rather obnoxious to ban fully grown adults from choosing to eat it.
