Any tips for cooking frozen muscles? I'm landlocked and have only had them while visiting places by the ocean.

>> No.6902334

I don't really like shellfish for some reason. I like raw oysters though but clams, cooked oysters, mussels just don't taste right to me.

>frozen muscles

have you considered finding a long rope with a noose at one end while securing the other end to something that can support your weight?

>> No.6902347

>>6902328
mussels are extremelly easy to cook. maybe put them under heavy water to remove ice and then let them boil for some time with water (add 2-4 spoons of salt)

>> No.6902352

>>6902328
>thaw entirely
>drain
>make a good sauce
>cook them in but DONT OVERCOOK.

Nigger just said that he's landlocked, it's probably his only option.

This. Not quite my only option, but it's the only reasonable priced option. The stuff that's flown in is expensive and questionable in quality.

In Turkey they serve it with rice, tastes great even though it gives you mercury poisoning because of the pollution.

>>6902445
Thats a great idea. Rice is actually brilliant combination for this. Gotta try it sometime

Here's how it looks like. I don't know how it's made, but there's a thick, gravy-like sauce left behind which you can dip bread into if you find it from the source, and not from some random stalls (at least, the place where we had some had it, though it may have been just spare motoroil or brake fluid or something considering how it was a repair shop). But yeah, it tastes great and if you find a recipe then that's all the better for you. One of my relatives got hospitalized after eating like 80 of them in a row. I can't blame him.

Maybe because they look and smell like pussy

>> No.6902497

I love mussels. Can't look too closely while eating them because they are gruesome little creatures up close, but they are delicious with good brown bread or some skinny crisps fries to soak up the juice. Pretty cheap too for shellfish too.
