I really can't stand beans unless it's baked beans, green beans, or in a 3 bean casserole/whatever the fuck you call it. they certainly don't belong in chili, but I make my chili with carrots, green beans, onion, corn, bell peppers, and celery so I have no room to talk.

No. Fuck you. Get out.

Beans are optional. If you want them, it's okay, but they aren't necessary for a good chili. If you are making it for yourself, add as many beans as you fucking want. If you are entering competition, there's NO beans allowed. If you are a huge faggot like my brother in law, you make 8 bean chili, like only a huge asslicking faggot can.

But beans don't "go" in chili. They "may" be added at your discretion.

Nice troll thread, but thought I'd soapbox for a minute to say that when I have cookouts, I make chili without beans BUT (and it's black-secretary-butt-sized but) I also make a pot of chili beans separately. That way, if my guests want beans with their chili, they can have it. And if they don't, they can omit it. And if they're vegan/vegetarian, I've got that covered, too.

I personally don't have meat and beans in the same meal (or, indeed, seldom in the same day).

Also, my chili is delicious and quite likely way better tasting than anyone else's ITT.
