sup nerds,

I am not from around here I am just in the market for a coffee machine and /g/ only drinks mountain dew and bud lite, so I thought I'd ask here. What's a good coffee machine to get? I already have a regular coffee pot, but I'm putting an order in on amazon so I figured fuck it I'll buy a sick coffee machine so my mom and I can drink some nice coffee.

I don't really know much about coffee, I just drink the coffee from costco out of a regular drip machine

if you're not a coffee snob and just a regular coffee drinker, it doesn't really matter what you get. if you have to get up early for work, maybe try getting one with preset timers so it'll start brewing at a specific time.

These look nice, I am looking through the best sellers on amazon and I see I need to read a bit more about these things before ordering one.

>if you're not a coffee snob
I'm not but I do want to start drinking nicer coffee, since I drink several cups a day. I have normally been drinking like 3-5 large cups a day out of a drip machine, costco brand coffee (we finish the big bag in about a week), but I've had nicer coffee at those hip coffee shops before and so I'd like to step up my coffee game.

looks nice but it's a little bit big, or idk I'll go look at real pictures of them. I see all this shit like italian, french press, espresso machines etc etc I need to be sure of what I want.

What should I get if I am trying to relax for a bit while sipping on my coffee, and I'm not in a rush to prepare it?

Also, I like espressos but I don't like that the cups are so tiny!

>> No.6809263

Surely just a stovetop espresso maker would do?
You can add hot water for an americano.

I don't know about cappuccinos, though. You'd probably have to prepare the milk separately and pour it into the espresso.

just watched a couple of youtube videos and I think I'm going to go with this. Already have the electric kettle so I'm good.

Also I can't just leave the coffee in that pot right I'd need to transfer it to a different pot afterwards, or else it will keep brewing right?

Good choice. French presses make great coffee if you do it right. It's a pain in the ass to do it with decaf though - it always comes out way too bitter. With normal coffee it's good though.

Get a french press, they're relatively inexpensive and a good segue to getting "into" coffee.

As for coffee, I've found that the Kirkland brand stuff is actually really good for the price (green bag). I know some supermarkets have a kind of bulk coffee thing which has all different types of coffee. Try some out, find what you like and then either continuously buy that or check out similar beans.

>(fucked copy pasta) fore ordering one.
Why? They are simple as fuck.
Put water in bottom part, put coffee in coffee part, screw top. Medium heat until it makes the distinct sound of prepared coffee.
