8/10, honestly the flavor wasn't bad (like a gamey boiled/rotten egg) plus they serve it with a vinegar chili sauce that you can douse it with it and cover up the musky flavor

i remember eating balut once. the yolk tasted like any yolk in a hardboiled egg, except, meatier if that makes sense. the bird itself tasted very much like when you have a nosebleed and you can taste the blood from the back of the throat (at least thats what mine tasted like). the liquid before you actually start eating has a very strong chicken taste to it, but there is only a little, so its like taking a shot of strong chicken stock. and the egg whites are inedible as they have the likeness to a pencil eraser, being tough

Is food from other continents really so weird, and mine normal, or is it just that I'm not used to it and Asians would just as equally look at my food like it's some crazy shit? I just can't think of anything that I eat that other people would be so shocked by.
