Eh, you can pickle it just like that, he needed more garlic for sure and should have poured it in boiling but I used that point before and I think it turned out well all I changed was the fact that I used more garlic but yeah that is the right amount of spices for the size and the water in mine came out the same way it is not too much of a difference, and he really did not need to let it ferment too much longer, like I said just needed to use hotter soup.
