Falling in love with a waitress. It happens.
A tale old as time.

It's happened to me before. Heck it happened just la s month. Beautiful dame about my age. Hazel eyes clear as day. Not a bloodshot vein on her and believe me I stared deep into her eyes. If there's one thing I know about women, it's that eye contact let's then know you're trying to care about them. This was at Red Lobster.

This is what how she looked. Yeah I know, amazing right? Ugh. If only you knew. It's frustrating when you have to repress those urges. Could have snapped a picture but I respected her privacy. Instead I tipped her and listened to her and joked around when the time called for it.

I was alone during the meal. She kept an eye on me. Probably refilled my drink eight times without me even signaling her over. Maybe I looked really nice today. I dont know. Her voice sounded like she liked me without being put on. When it came time for my check I was secretly hoping she would leave her number on the bill. I know that's a far fetched thing that only happens in movies tho.

When I left I was depressed. I should have spoken up.
Have any of you ever felt like this at a restaurant?
How did you solve your dilemma?

For the record I have not since had the opportunity to return to Red Lobsters... well, almost. It's on the same route I go whenever I'm stopping by the library. There was a sign reading for a job opening on the front door, evening position, so with some slight hesitation I went in and inquired if the position was still open and if I could have an application form.

Huzzah, it was her shift after all! I seriously considered filling out the application even with my current, and high ranking, career. Tell the truth, I thought I moved past signing away my time for love.

I saw her in the distance doing her shifts. I used the restroom hoping to move past her, maybe locking eyes, perchance a kiss? Not as much. Nothing went according to romance and once I had run out of reasons to remain in there I went about my business. I'm sick in the head falling in love. There's this barista I want at the moment...
