Not sure where you live, but in most of America the beer selection is better than the wine selection.

Having 500 different bottles of identical tasting Napa Cabernet, Napa merlot, Sonoma cougar juice, and generic tasting Oregon pinot noir isn't variety. You have to live in a major coastal city (preferably east coast) if you don't want to get raped for a good bottle of wine.

The sad thing is that I can get good Canuckistani beer like Maudite or Fin du Monde more easily in the People's Republic of Kalifornia than I can just next fucking door in Ontario. I know the LCBO is trying to do craft breweries better, but fuck, man, we expatriates really are living in the golden age of wine and beer.
