Depends on where you live. Some places have worse water than others. Tap water is stellar where I live and I've noticed a markedly worse taste when I travel.

If it's something serious, always get at least four opinions before proceeding. The first opinion has too good a chance of being misguided.

In this case, it's not serious. It's a dentist saying to drink fluoride. Anybody can tell you that ingesting fluoride does nothing for your teeth. It soaks into teeth topically. There is no good reason to ingest it.

If I go to my tap right fucking now I can pour a glass of water, and as the water pours I get the distinct and strong smell of bleach coming off of it. It's fucking terrible.

Taste the water and it's like you're taking big long sips of bleach, easily a 40/60 bleach/water mix, at least to me it's undrinkable.

Fuck that. I go to Walmart and buy big 5 gallon jugs of filtered water, it's only 39 cents a gallon.

It tastes like nothing and I love it.
