OP here. One regular sized can was the perfect amount! Added some more browned Italian sausage for a meatier kick than only the beef in the Beefaroni.

Seasoned with some oregano and some of Paul Prudhomme's Pizza & Pasta Magic, for a little more flavor than "salt" and "tomato." Tore up an 8 ounce ball of fresh mozzarella and threw that on there. Baked at ~450 on a pizza stone for 17 minutes. Then, the most difficult part of it all, was waiting about 10 minutes after it came out of the oven.
