My dad used to buy necco wafers are all the time. About half of them taste sort of good, sweet with the consistency of chalk. The other ones are very spicy, in a raw carrot sort of way. Really they are a pretty shitty candy I don't know why my dad liked them so much.

My mom used to know a guy who always had chuckles on him. He was a weird fucker. Chuckles are pretty shit too, there are maybe two good flavors and the others taste like dog's ass.

If you haven't... the smell and taste of violets is cool, mineralic and sweet. It reminds me of some of the medicines used in dentistry for numbing. The coolness is more like camphor than mint. I've eaten way too many of these things.

Used to buy boxes of pulparindo and lucas and split them with friends.

Some of the stuff I used to get was recalled in 2007, but I heard they started tightening regulations on these things and most factories in Mexico have special lines made only for the American market.

One of the things I did our of paranoia was I emailed tama roca and some other companies asking if their products are regulated. Some of them replied and sent me the california health department list of safe candies or something and it seems like most mexican candies are pretty safe now, the dangerous stuff is from china and india.

Man now that I think about it I've basically had every brand: tama-roca, lucas, pulparindo, indy, etc.

I'm actually pretty scared that I might have lead poisoning or something cause I eat so much of this.
