Everytime I'm at Disney I do. And when we go to a sandwich stop I always am offered the extra side pickle you get with your sandwich by my friends.

Though I never buy them for household consumption. That seems overboard.

It's a fairly mild chutney. Chopped veggies of various sorts flavored with vinegar and spices. It's quite sweet. It tastes a lot like A1 sauce but with coarse chunky bits in it instead of a smooth sauce. It's a condiment.

I'm ruined on regular pickles now though. Deli quality sour pickles are so damn good. I can't ever go back to the normal shit like Vlasic. At the very least it has to be Claussen, but the ones sold in individual bags are so so good. Can't justify buying a ton of them though.

Aged cheese is best. Think of a cross between mango chutney, bread and butter pickles and A1. That's the flavor. It's part of the ploughman's platter (google pics) lunch tradition, a composed plate with bread, cheeses, this chutney (aka a "pickle" in the indian tradition), maybe some cold meats or sliced onion, and an ice cold ale or beer. A decomposed sandwich, if you will.
