I don't like adding milk to my cereal in the bowl. The first few spoonfuls are great - tasty crunchy cereal with ice cold milk but as the meal goes on you just end up getting soggier and soggier cereal and then a puddle of milk at the bottom of the bowl which you either spoon out or slurp from the bowl - both rather unbecoming and to my mind disgusting table habits.
For this reason I fill a bowl with dry cereal and have my milk separate in a large glass. This way I don't get soggy cereal and can regulate crunchy cereal to ice cold milk more preferentially to my liking.
