the fools gold loaf is the only thing we should be discussing here

I'll even give you a goddamn recipe

Ingredients
1 loaf of wide white french bread
1 jar of peanut butter (any kind)
1 jar of jelly (preferably grape but substitutions are acceptable)
1 pound of bacon
1 stick of butter

heat oven to 375, cover load of bread with stick of butter and brown
while this is happening begin frying bacon
once bread has sufficiently heated remove from oven and cut end of bread off
now hollow out the middle of the bread with enough room for the other ingredients
pat finished bacon dry and stuff loaf
empty jelly and peanut butter evenly into loaf

enjoy!

optional, if large enough loaf of french bread is not available you may cut the loaf in half sandwich style to accommodate ingredients

I know this isn't /mu/ and I don't want to derail the thread, but I just feel it needs to be said: Elvis Presley hasn't been culturally relevant for at least an entire generation. The fetishization of him has peaked and subsided, so I think it's okay for people to admit now that he was a bad singer and a generally terrible person in his personal life, and his choices in food were representative of his white trash upbringing. He was a "safe" way for the white teenagers of that time to enjoy music that was predominantly played by black people, and even still he caused a moral panic in the adults. I think it's time we let his legacy sink into history, and appreciate it in context, rather than continuing to try and resurrect it into pop culture.
