This is the concept of cheese done to perfection.

I've had 40 dollar Gouda, and I've sampled the best cheeses in the world. I'm not an amateur. I know my cheeses and still nothing I have ever tried matches the sheer awesomeness of one of these cheese wheels. You can even eat it with the wax on. That's how good it is.

The texture is like mother's milk fluffed into a marshmallow. It's soft. It's almost real, like you're biting into something that was once living. Your saliva is infused with the dairy leaving your mouth a watery milky oasis. It's so creamy. It always smells fresh, ah yes, straight from the cow even.

Nothing beats them. A pack of Babybels won't put a hole your wallet and best of all you can find them ANYWHERE. The calorie count is good too.

This isn't the last cheese review I'm going to do.
I promise. But it is the best thing I will review.
Babybel Cheese is a masterpiece. Buy Now. A+

I have sampled on less than two varieties of individually wrapped yellow cheese slices in my life so when it comes to cheese I am an undisputed authority in my family
I recently had the displeasure of trying the so called cheese in your picture
First of all the exorbitant price of this abomination to cheese is nothing short of robbery
Second the presence of wax inner wrapping is redundant and cumbersome
Third the shape does not lend itself well to sandwiches
Fourth the flavor is so overpowering that adding it to any dish would immediately ruin it
Fifth the color, texture, and smell are offputting
how anyone could enjoy such a thing is beyond all reason

You're full of it. The wax keeps it farm fresh. It's 2 - 3 dollars at most for a bag of them. It goes well with dishes that are heavily spiced like Indian food where it wouldn't be overpowering (learn to cook, idiot. that's my advice.). Slice it thin from the end and it's sandwich ready. How exactly is the shape a problem for sandwiches when Tomatoes and Avocados are pretty much the same? Thin slices. The smell isn't repugnant. Your ears probably smell the iron in your blood because it's nice and milky in a Babybel.

I doubt you have ever tried one, honestly because all of your criticisms were lies. Anyways there is ZERO chance you're more qualified to talk about cheese than I am because I've kinda been doing this for a while. I know my stuff. Thanks, but kindly Fuck off now.

What's the best way to eat fancy cheese?

>> No.6547803

Here you go Edgar a recipe involving your favorite cheese.

The recipe is simple:

1 egg
1 pkg Babybel gouda* (6pcs)
Salt, Pepper, Cayenne or Chipoltle to taste
3/4 cup Panko Bread crumbs. Because I’m gluten free, I used Kinnikinnick GF panko crumbs but any bread crumb should work. Use a Panko crumb if possible as it provides a crispier coating.
2 cups oil for frying
*Babybel does make Swiss & Cheddar “Flavoured” cheeses but I don’t think they actually are swiss & cheddar so I’d say stick with gouda.

Lightly beat the egg in a small dish

Peel the wax coating from the cheese (I didn’t have to tell you that right?)

One at a time, dip the cheese in the egg, coating it completely.

Add spices to breadcrumbs and mix

Roll the egg coated cheese in the crumb. Place on a plate. Repeat for remainder.

Let rest for 5 minutes. (don’t cheat here, this is important!)

Carefully repeating the egg and crumb process with the already coated cheese. This double coating is the secret to a really great deep fried cheese. You need a good coating of crumb so that the cheese is trapped and doesn’t melt out into the oil. This trick gives you the best crunch. By letting the first layer of crumb set with the egg, you also reduce the chance of the crumb falling off in the oil.

Deep fry 1 or 2 at a time in about 350* oil for about 2 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is just beginning to oooooze out.

Remove from oil and pat with paper towel to remove excess oil. Serve immediately. I haven’t tried this but you could probably prepare these in advance and reheat in the oven for about 10 minutes @ 200*F. Not quite the same but if you are serving lots, it may be an option.

Serve with you favorite dipping sauce.
