Here's what's wrong with the franchise:
Everyone associates them with unhealthy food. People who only care about taste can find tastier food that's equally unhealthy. People who care about healthy meals avoid them, even if they ignorantly buy more expensive food that seems healthier but actually isn't. Who is left eating at McD's? Poor people who order off the Dollar Menu. Fat, loud, poor people. Even those who honestly like the food there think twice about going because they don't like having to associate with fat, loud, poor people.

McD's used to be a place where middle class people could take the kids for a treat, or grab a quick bite on the run. In much of the country today eating there feels like you've fallen out of the middle class, so middle class diners stopped going.

That's quite a blow to recover from.

There's no other fast food place that offers those many calories and that much protein for so little cost. Literally the perfect post-exercise snack.

No doubt. I grew up eating fried chicken at picnics with my family. But I remember sometime during my childhood my family stopped eating fried chicken, takeout Chinese and McD's without any explanation. All I can figure is that it was some kind of middle class keeping up appearances thing as dad's career arc moved toward its peak.

No I'm not excited about "warmer burgers". Mcdonalds has been trying for the last 20 years to be all of their competition. What happened to offering burgers, chicken, fries and shakes. Their menu is cluttered, overwhelming and cumbersome. It shouldn't need to look like a chinese menu with a picture next to the number and description.

Last time I went to McD's they had 5 big screen TVs acting as the menu and they have so much shit, 3 of the screens were slideshows with all the items and their promo items. Holy shit.

They need to go back to what made them so big. Cheap burgers, made quickly. Offer fries and a coke with a rude staff.

Here in Germany McDoof (doof = dumb) is exorbitantly expensive. For twice the money of a Mc Menu you could eat at a restaurant and get really good and tasty food.

It doesn't help either that basically anything there tastes like gutter trash. All the burgers are soggy and bland in taste, the patties are dry as a camel's farts in the desert and the sauce is generic shit. The fries are fried to death and milkshakes are watery.
Heck even Burger King outclasses them by miles with everything they have to offer and this is saying a lot, also being just a fast-food chain.

It's simply shit food for a lot of money. So unless they completely turn their business philosophy and model around and turn it into a Demolition Man Pizza Hut fancy place for snobs McDonald's is fucked.

It is not so much of a complaint as it is business advice. All those extra products need to have inventory, supply chain management, storage, etc. Unsold expired inventory becomes a loss to the company.

If McD narrow their catalog of products to what the vast majority of their customers know them for, they could focus on improving the quality of what provides the bulk of their revenue. So basically all those different menu options of McD trying to be all-things-to-all-people is making their mcdouble have less quality and more expensive.
