Hrm... my most used condiment is either mayonnaise or mustard. Mustard because I use it a lot to make vinaigrettes and I eat a lot of salads and mayonnaise because I put it on fried foods, which I also eat in considerable amounts.

And no, surprisingly enough, I'm not fat. I figure that if my metabolism hasn't slowed down yet at this point, it never will and I'll never be a fatty.

Sure, I love sharing this because it is too good to be kept in the dark...

1 onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 cup of carrots, chopped
2 cups of water
10 habaneros seeded, chopped
3 tbsp lime juice
3 tbsp white vinegar
1 tsp salt
2 papayas or 2 mangos

Sautéed garlic in lightly sprayed saucepan. Once the garlic gives off odor, add carrots, onions and water. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to simmer until carrots are soft, remove from heat.

Add habaneros, fruit, lime juice, salt and carrot mixture in a blender, purée until smooth. Store in sterile glass jars, like a mason jar.

I am also from a Romance country and speak a Romance language. We have two/three separate words for lime and lemon: limo, limetta and limone. It's been a while since I've had limo or limetta so forget which one is which, but both words are used for limes, just one for sour limes and the other for sweet ones. I think 'limo' is the sour one.
'Limone' references lemon.

Sour limes are somewhat uncommon in my country because we don't really use them. We do use a lot of sweet limes in the summer months to make sorbet and limeaid, though. Oh, best thing ever? Make lemon-limeaid from lemon juice and sweet lime juice and sweeten the lemon part with bitter cherry syrup instead of plain sugar. So. Fucking. Good. Very common soda in the summer months.

Nah. Not fat.

I don't shy away from supposedly fattening foods, but I don't gorge myself on them, either. I eat them when I want to and eat other things when I want them instead. And I only eat when I'm hungry. For example: all day today, I only had coffee with milk, a homemade oat-and-nut bar, an apple, an orange and a kiwifruit. That's about 600cal total, give or take. Wasn't hungry.

When I wrote that post, though, I was eating deep fried food and a salad. Again: don't shy away from fattening foods. The dose makes the poison.
