BREWER'S LOG: STAG DATE: MAY 8. 2015
These are the voyages of beer down my throat.
Some might be good some might be bad.

***Entry #1, Double Jack***
You want to talk head? Double Jack has TONS! It's very sweet. It's almost tropical but at first bitter, with a nice aroma that tickle your nose. The color as it pours is a burst of amber. Needless to say, it got me drunk!

A very solid DIPA with hops to spare.

Yes like caramel but it almost overpowered by slight bitterness before you get the tropical sweetness.

Lacking in depth & complexity.

That might explain it.

It does have a very creamy, satisfying head. Pretty good for a Belgian pale.
Thought I was buying a trippel though, so you can imagine my disappointment.

Rogue is kind've a shit brewery that spends a lot on image and marketing. Their beers are utterly mediocre.

Suggest you try New Holland instead.

Yeah, the only beer I like that I've tried from them was Hazelnut Brown Nectar. It's just overpriced, like all of their beers. You can get a just as good or better brown ale for less money.
