It's official ck

I haven't eaten a single piece of solid food in over year, just soylent and water. Literally everything in my life has improved substantially and I was still able to digest a whole steak tonight which was million times more orgasmic after being separated so long.

Are you eventually ever going to join the future of food ck?

Recipe: Take 1 nutraloaf and slice thinly. Allow slices to dry til crisp. (Takes 2 days) Place slices in old sock and bash sock against wall or cell mate until powder has been achieved. Empty sock into canteen cup. Add water to make paste. Allow to stand for 1 hour. Add more water til "shake" has been achieved. Consume with air of superiority.

How can you compare that to a meal that has a variety of colours, flavours, textures and aromas? A balanced diet costs about the same or less, provides all your nutrients and is infinitely more enjoyable to eat.

I can see some obvious advantages, such as ease and speed of preparation, reduced grocery shopping time and reduced energy bills from cooking. But that assumes that people don't enjoy shopping and cooking and are happy to spend the time and effort (and gas/electricity bills) to indulge that creative outlet and gastronomic experience.

I'm sure there will be people out there who find this stuff helps them operate more efficiently but anyone who would rather get the "chore" of "fueling their body" out of the way ASAP like that doesn't belong on /ck/. You might get a more positive response from /sci/.

Lots of people shill on 4chan. It's like setting up a little stall on a fairly busy market street. This thread has 12 unique posters already and probably the same number again lurking.

24 people taking active notice of your product in less than an hour aint too bad for a stall, especially considering the low cost and effort of making a thread and the fact that the logo is on the front page for dozens more people to see.

That kind of online advertising usually costs money but on 4chan and other forums it's free (and has more credibility) if done under the guise of an impartial consumer. I read a third of all online "reviews" are done by shills. Dunno if that's true but it wouldn't blow my mind.

I havent considered the electricity cost of regular cooking, but I'd estimate it to be <10€/month.
The one month supply of soylent costs 300$

Last time i checked my monthly food expenses are around 60€/month (not buying 5$ hipster coffee every day or being a fat fuck saves a lot of money)

It is supposed to be 4 meals per day, I only eat about 2 full meals per day, maybe with small snacks inbetween, so even if this is planned to satisfy an average amerifat and i could stretch it for two months, thats still 2.5 times more then i currently spend.

Of course i save at least an hour per day by not cooking or shopping, but right now my time isnt worth that much, so unless i could go buy with 100€/month i will not even consider it.

And seeing that it is bulk produced and has a long shelf life i dont see why it is not cheaper than regular food

Generally im totally for a future where we dont have an entire room dedicated for preparing and storing food, everyone lives off soylent and for fancy meals we go to restaurants
