Is there any food that you simply can't be fucked to make yourself?

Pic related. I love cheese but I'll be damned if I'll ever spend time making it

Water. I don't possess the talent to combine hydrogen and oxygen.

actually all you need to do is set something on fire to make water

Bison. I simply don't have room at my apartment to raise them.

overall, bread and baked goods. Those are no fun to make when it's so easy to go to a baker who's better at baking then I am and has the space to do it properly and just be done with it.

Life would suck a lot more if I had to grow my own rice and grains.

This.
Some guy was trying to tell me how to make BBQ sauce and I was polite during the conversation but in my head "Wow, I am never going to make BBQ sauce, I hope this story ends soon"

>"Wow, I am never going to make BBQ sauce, I hope this story ends soon"

Why? Unlike say, cheese, BBQ sauce is easy to make and is a lot better than the store-bought stuff. It's one of the foods with a high return on making it yourself. Unless you simply don't use BBQ sauce....

Because the marginal improvement of home made BBQ sauce is not worth the extra investment of time and effort.

I've seen some easy cottage cheese recipes I've thought of making but never made cheese at home

My point is that it's not a marginal improvement. It's a major one. And the investment of time and effort is minor.

I sincerely doubt that.

Baking is great fun! Even if it is a simple white bread.

Maybe I wrote that badly. I made pizza with a gf once from scratch and that was fun, but it requires a lot of space. I guess if I had a full blown out kitchen then it might be fun but NY kitchens generally aren't too large. I've seen a few in apartments that are, but that's rare and not in my price range ATM.

I feel like you're doing something badly wrong here, you need one small counter and an oven to bake. Any kitchen has that.

It's pretty fucking easy, hardly takes time or effort, and it tastes better than what you buy at the store

I will never ever ever bake my own bread. fuck that.

wut, thats like the easiest stuff to make
mix flour a pack of yeast and water
add salt and whatever spices you prefer
knead
wait
throw in the oven in any container or simply on a baking sheet
wait
done

it cost 10 times less than buyinig, all you need is some time and planning, so if you realize "shit im out of bread and i need some now!" then going to the store is faster
