Basic food rule for friends and roomates:
If its not yours, then dont fucking touch it.

Also if you cook thoroughly whatever the raw meat was touching you'll be fine.

If leftovers are left out all night, its fine. (Done many a time when ive cooked stirfrys or whatever when drunk and passed out.)

If hashbrowns arent cooked in butter, its fine. Not as good, but fine.

The only dense motherfucker in these situations is you, you picky sperg

For something as cheap as potatoes I just prefer to use some sort of oil over butter. Butter is just too damn expensive when you can get a similar result with cheaper alternatives.

Unless you are looping margarine with it, which is all around shit in everything.

What you should be worried about when it comes to cross-contamination is when you touch raw meat and don't wash your hands before touching finished food. Or handling a knife or the handle of a pan. Those can carry bacteria for a few days if they aren't washed well.

I think it's a good idea to slice vegetables before meats just in case, so you aren't wrong. But don't be all self-righteous about it.

Fuck I just got over a bout of some serious food poisoning yesterday.

It starts like this feeling in the back of your throat. You feel uneasy. You vomit. You can't keep any food down. You get the urge to shit. It's diarrhea. Proceed to feel like you have the flu with no sneezing, runny nose, congestion, or cough. You feel dizzy. You feel like you might die from anxiety. Impending doom sensation. It's really sucks.

Don't eat spoiled food or let niggers cook/prepare your meals. They don't wash their hands and they do some nasty shit you don't want to know.

>> No.6318095

>>6318091
Man that sucks. Especially the emotional side.
Do you reckon you've got a good immunity otherwise? I'm in the belief it can get built.. grew up poor and parents were the sort to bleach and sanitize all surfaces.

Speaking of idiots making food for other people, today I found 2 hairs in a meal I ordered from a restaurant.. to be honest, they were stuck on the last piece of open-faced sandwhich shit I ordered. I wonder if that was intentional because there was 2, but holy hell.

Only had food poisoning 3 times in my life before from dumb decisions. I haven't had the flu in 5 years and the last time I had a flu shot it was when I was forced to get it in high school. And I work in the service industry so I shake a lot of hands and talk to many different people. I just always wash my hands before I eat and I don't touch my face if I know my hands are dirty. I think that's the motherfucking key to not getting sick often. The only real harm is if you get someone dirty making your food or your food is contaminated to begin with. I rarely eat salad. I always eat warm food, preferably steaming hot food that burn your mouth.

Sorry, I didn't make this clear because it was late and I wasn't focusing. He just put raw ground beef in the croissants. So the outside was charred and awful and the meat was still pink.

depends
if its a plastic cutting board, he can sanitize it in the dishwasher
if its a wooden cutting board, the bacteria sink through the pores and die, however that takes a day or so
