Why are people so bad at cooking eggs?

>> No.6241344

>>6241236
people are bad at getting the right temperature

cooking eggs is a really good way to expose that

>> No.6241359

>>6241236
maybe they like their eggs different than you do.

Because you're too lazy and/or selfish to share your wisdom and show people how to do it properly.

What's the correct way to cook my eggs?
Let's start with fried.

>> No.6241375

>>6241366
there's no perfect way dumbass

>> No.6241384

>>6241366
because you're too lazy to experiment and figure out how different varying factors in cooking gets you different results

>> No.6241388

>>6241375
But I thought that cooking is a science, and science only deals in absolutes. There must be a perfect formula for cooking eggs.

>> No.6241392

>experiment
Cooking confirmed for science.

>> No.6241395

Because most people are retarded and don't realize that you don't have to throw your burner on the highest setting to cook something.

But if I put set the stove to 10, it will cook twice as fast as when I have it on 5.

IM HUNGRY NOW

i usually put the heat on 8 (medium high) , then let it boil for about 3-4 minutes. Turn the heat off, and cover it with something and leave it like that for 5 minutes. Afterwards I'd put the cooked egg in cold water for another 5 minutes . Gets me the perfect result every time.

I really hope you actually aren't just shitposting OP. Unless it's at a restaraunt I simply can't eat anyone else's eggs. Its ridiculous I know, but having egg and only egg being served by someone as a snack is the most repulsive shit.

It is

cooking might as well be an art.

>> No.6241988

>>6241963
yep. why would you ever give someone just a fucking egg? do i look like a bodybuilder to you?

>> No.6241991

>>6241388

no, because when you cook something there are a number of variable factors that come down to preference. most people want the whites done a similar way but not the yolks - these cook at different times so the method you choose might be decided by the yolk you want. you may want to crisp the edges of the egg as it fries, or you may want it completely pale and smooth. you may want the egg flipped. you may want it browned buttery or pure tasting. seasoning is a factor.

just managing the temperature of the egg is complicated and subjective enough without all these other considerations.

I always have a bowl of eggs in the living room for the guests

That's strange. I like it.

I have some eggs that are a few days past their use by date (best before), are they still OK to eat?

I had this for lunch and I'm a skinny rich guy.

Use by and best before are different things. Going past use by means there may be health implications, going past best before may just mean it starts to taste bad.

>> No.6244145

>>6241991
I see. So with that in mind...
>>6241236
>Why are people so bad at cooking eggs?
...can be translated to:
>Why do people do things that I don't like?

Conclusion: OP is a faggot.
